A nail in the middle of the tread, under six millimetres, is usually a repair. The tyre comes off, the injury is inspected from the inside, and a proper plug and seal is used. A gash in the sidewall is not a repair. That tyre is finished, and you are told so before any new one is fitted.
Car parks at the harbour stations and at Ocean Retail Park collect screws. So do the lanes after a building job. If the tyre has been driven flat, say how far. A folded tyre is a different decision from a slow leak found on the driveway.
The repair, when it is safe, is done where the vehicle sits. There is no need to limp toward a bay that does not exist.
